This mini-documentary was produced for the Comanche County Memorial Hospital Foundation to show at the CCMH Foundation Children’s Starlight fundraiser. Check out this video to see some of the sweet families in our community that have benefited from these generous donations.
McMahon Center for Breast Health– Established Spring, 2015, this fund was created in conjunction with the Every Life Matters campaign, to raise the funding necessary to establish the McMahon Center for Breast Health and to purchase new, state-of-the-art imaging equipment and technology for the early detection of breast cancer. This fund will provide ongoing support for breast imaging needs and to support those affected by breast cancer.
McMahon Tomlinson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center– This fund is supported by donations and ongoing contributions made through the purchase naming opportunities, general donations or the purchase of an individualized brass leaf, that is placed on the Memory Tree in the McMahon Tomlinson Nursing Center.
Drewry Family Emergency Center: The Drewry Family Emergency Center renovation added additional space to our previous ER, bringing the 24-bed facility up to 34 beds. The previous Emergency Service Area, which opened in 1974, treated approximately 40 patients per day. The newly renovated facility serves about 55,000 people that visit annually which is around 150 per day. Naming opportunities are still available.
Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma (CCSWOK) – this fund was established in Spring, 2004 to support the establishment of the Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma a joint venture project with Duncan Regional Hospital and Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus and now also in Chickasha.
Children’s Starlight Unit and NICU(Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) – established in the Fall of 2006, this fund was established as an ongoing source of funding for the needs of pediatric patients at CCMH. This fund has now been expanded to serve CCMH’s tiniest patients in the only Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the area and has expanded to serve our entire Women’s and Children’s Services. This includes our Labor and Delivery Renovation and Expansion, Level 2 NICU and our Children’s Starlight Unit.
15% of all gifts to the CCMH Foundation will be designated to the General Endowment Fund.
CCMH Foundation Funds
Chapel Fund – This fund was created for the purpose of constructing and equipping the Martha Lou Lawson Chaplaincy Center. Contributions are used to support the ongoing needs of the Hospital Chaplain and Chaplaincy Program initiatives.
WALK Fund – this fund was established in 2004 to assist with initiatives geared toward addressing the childhood obesity epidemic to include the WALK (Wellness And Lawton’s Kids) program and others as approved by the Board.
Diabetes Fund – This fund supports education and treatment of people diagnosed with diabetes. Funds are used primarily for the purchase of blood glucose monitoring equipment and supplies for disease management.
Endowment Fund – This is a permanently restricted fund. Only interest income from this fund is used to support Foundation projects.
Heart Fund – was established for donations to the CCMH Heart Program.
Laboratory Medicine & School of Medical Technology Endowment Fund – is a permanent endowment fund established in 2003 to support the ongoing needs of the Laboratory and School of Medical Technology.
NERSE (Nursing Education Research Scholarship Endowment) Fund – is a permanent endowment fund established by R. Nathan Grantham in 2004 to promote recruitment and retention of quality nursing personnel. The fund will help support 1) continuing education and professional development, 2) Scholarships for nursing students and 3) support for research as recommended by the NERSE Committee.
LaDonna Williams NEEDS Fund – The Needy Employee Emergency Disaster Service is a program designed to provide emergency assistance to employees faced with catastrophic life events. This fund is supported primarily from contributions made by hospital employees.
Unrestricted (General) Fund – This fund consists of undesignated contributions to the Foundation which can be used where the need is greatest.
